Mixed Media Photography Titled “Color of Imagination”

Abstract

Mixed media photography “Color of Imagination" is created to reflect the imagination of children through the objects around them. In this work demonstrate the importance of childhood imagination influence to the habit in the future. Photo collections start from the survey of 17 children who have been screened for different characteristics such as gender, parenting style family economic conditions and favorite activities. Then, interview each one for select only 4 interesting personality children and then create a sketch of the work plan. Furthermore, creation process by using a photo of each child mixed with the color and shape of the body to record images with a flatbed scanner. Then, create a story for each child's photos base on the personal habits by reference from the theory of color tone. According to the colors in the warn tone will give a sense of fierce, exciting, hilarious and fun and the color in the cool tone is tender and forth. In addition, Fauvism art applies in the innocent style children through favorite style of each child and author perspective. In this study, Mixed Media Photography has been created of 2D pictures in the sizes of 30.48 cm x 45.72 cm for 4 images by portrait photography mixed with record objects around children to present the story "colors of imagination".
