dc.description.abstract | The Design Development of Souvenirs Made in Benjarong Village, Don Kaidee Subdistrict, Krantumban
District, Samut Sakhon Province
The objectives of this study were to: 1) explore the unique designs of Benjarong products made in this
village, 2) investigate the souvenir business, 3) develop new souvenir designs, and 4) evaluate consumer
satisfaction towards the souvenirs made in this village. The findings revealed that according to the authorities in
this field, design 5 was ranked high ( ̅ = 4.37) in terms of appropriateness. According to the consumers, the
practicality of these products and their marketability were ranked high, ̅ = 4.36 and ̅ = 4.28, respectively.
Having been assessed by the authorities, the new designs were evaluated by the manufacturers and the
distributors who agreed that they were practical and this offered more choice for consumers. In addition, the
new designs represented the identity of the village so it was easy to recognize where they were from. As for
suggestions, new packaging should be designed to increase the channels of product distribution and income of
those involved in the souvenirs of this village and to make the souvenirs more practical and more attractive. | en_US |
