A Study on Potential Capabilities for Tourism of Samet Nang-che in Khlong Khian, Takua thung, Phang Nga

Abstract

This research aimed to study the tourism potential of the Samet Nang-chee, Khlong Khian, Takua thung, Phang Nga and to elaborate the findings into the Guidelines of development for the potential of Samet Nang-chee touristic site. Qualified as the qualitative type, the researcher conducted semi-structured interview with the representative whom had informed important information comprising the owner area, touristic management staff, shop operators, tour agency/ tour operators, tourist and representative of Khlong Khian Village. The data gained from the semi- structured interview are classified for further analyzing and synthesizing using the expressive strategies. The result is as follows: Samet Nang-chee is the newest attraction of ecotourism resource in Phang Nga. Due to physical conditions that are fertile ecosystem, fresh air for leisure tourism, appropriate activities that made Samet Nang-chee have been popular and famous at the present. Samet Nang-chee is a valuable natural attraction that is unique and has a story of attraction, along with determining the carrying capacity to prevent the degeneration of tourism. Furthermore, most tourists regarded that the convenience of traveling to the tourist attraction and the facilities problems were the important obstacles for traveling. The development factor; increase in garbage pail, restaurant, variously product for souvenir shops and, dispense the brochures of tourism’s history to tourist who are travel.
