    Abstract
    The purposes of this research was to study characteristics of new graduate engineer for Thai industry to ASEAN policy response. The sample group were 1) undergraduate students, 7 field of studies (Civil Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering), faculty of Engineering, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, Salaya 2) medium establishment in Bangkok and suburban, main industrial area of country (25 establishments per field of study) The questionnaires method was applied for the sample group. Data analysis and evaluation of research based on statistics. The results of this study were 1) most establishment planned to accept ASEAN employees, especially engineering undergraduate student 2) the industry often had problems about competencies of new graduate do not match the needs of the industry.
