Construction of Introduction to Thai Language Textbook for Foreign Students

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to synthetic Thai language content to create the introduction to Thai language textbook for foreign students and study on the opinions of foreign students towards the introduction to Thai language textbook. The target population used in the research was 10 foreign students in Huahin Prachuapkhirikhan. Create the introduction to Thai language textbook for foreign students. Then test one by one with 3 foreign students, and then test small groups with 15 foreign students field test with 10 foreign students. The research instruments were 1) the neediness questionnaire of foreign students towards the introduction to Thai language textbook 2) the appraise of introduction to Thai language textbook questionnaire by the experts 3) the opinions questionnaire of foreign students towards the introduction to Thai language textbook. The results of the study revealed that : 1) The Thai language textbook for foreign students have 10 lessons : Sound symbols, Introductions, Basic Thai grammar, Color, Bodies, Thai food, Time and day, Thai family, Travel and mini dictionary. 2) The experts appraise of introduction to Thai language textbook about content and language was very good, the structure of presentation was good 3) The foreign students opinion of introduction to Thai language textbook about content and language was very good
