    Abstract
    Application used Newspaper replace Sand to Reduce Crack of Shrinkage to Plastering Mortar to study the feasibility of the waste newspaper mix in mortar. The study of the shrinkage of cement mix as newspaper. The ratio of cement to sand at 1:3,by replacing newspaper with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 percent of the weight to be compared with the shrinkage of general mortar. By casting it as a sample size of 5x5x5 cm. in size, then the measure of size at the age of 7, 14, 21 and 28 days. compareed with at the age of 1 day. On the study when the ratio is even more paper the shrinkage of the samples is accordingly. And the weight of the samples is less inversely proportional to the amount of newspaper increased. The test is based on standard ASTM C 596-96
