Objective
The objective of this research is to study and identify the guidelines to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district. The study includes personal information of tourist’s behaviors, demands, obstacles, and ideas including suggestions on how to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district. Examples will come from 400 Thai tourists who visit Yaowarat district. The tools to collect data will be surveys and statistics to analyze data. The data for the surveys include T-tests, One-Way Analysis of Varience, Chi-square test, and the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.
Results
Most of the tourists are female, of ages 20 – 25 years old, single, college students with an income of 1 – 10,000 baht. They also are of Thai nationality and are Buddhist.
Most of the tourists learned of the Yaowarat district from friends, travel through buses, and most come with families more than 4 times (each visit is over 2 hours). The expenses are usually between 1 – 500 baht and the tourists usually come to buy food and will come back again. A lot of tourists like to visit the Yaowarat district.
Hypothesis
1. Different genders have different results for guidelines to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district.
2. Different ages have the same results for guidelines to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district.
3. Relationship status does not make a difference in the results for guidelines to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district.
4. Educational levels make a difference in the results for guidelines to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district.
5. Different careers make a difference in the results for guidelines to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district.
6. Income makes a difference in the results for guidelines to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district.
7. National makes a difference in the results for guidelines to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district.
8. Religion does not make a difference in the results for guidelines to promote the cultural tourism in Yaowarat district.
9. Reasons for visiting are predictable.
10. The demands of visiting Yaowarat district is high in general.
