    Abstract
The objective is to evaluate the performance of a reinforced concrete structure under seismic forces at the level expected for Kanchanaburi. The analysis procedures used in this study were based on those given in FEMA-356. A reinforced concrete frame originally (Two-story, five-story and eight-story) not designed for seismic forces was used as the study frame for this paper. The model of the frame was first constructed. The analysis of nonlinear static was employed modal push over analysis method. The results indicated that the frame could be severely damaged under the level of earthquake considered in this study. From result of the study, modal push over analysis method indicated that beams and columns at mid – levels to top - levels of building experienced similar level of damage.
