The Influencing Factors and Countermeasures of Distance Learners' Online Learning
Abstract
The objectives of this research/study were1.This paper takes Chinese distance learners as
the object of investigation, combined with the previous research hypothesis, determines the
measurement dimension of the influence factors of distance learners' online learning.2. This
study adopts the method of random sampling, questionnaires are randomly distributed to
learners who use online education, and data are obtained through research to help more distance
learners improve their learning quality。
Mixed research methods are used in this examination, consisting of quantitative and
qualitative methodologies. The questionnaire includes two parts: part one is the basic
information of the respondents, including gender, age, occupation, the purpose of online
learning, the form of online learning, daily duration, monthly frequency, 7 questions; the
second part includes online learning, learning, learning attitude, learning motivation, learning
adaptability, mental health, teacher knowledge and attitude, classroom interaction, curriculum
structure, and network environment, a total of 33 questions. Chinese distance learners were
selected as the targeted population, 448 questionnaires were distributed in the Questionnaire
Stars platform, and a total of 416 questionnaires were received. Descriptive data analysis,
reliability test, validity test, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation model
analysis to explain quantitative data.
Major findings/results: 1. According to the influence factor model of online learning
proposed in this study, six variables, namely, learning attitude, learning motivation, learning
adaptability, mental health, teacher knowledge and attitude, and classroom interaction have a
direct positive impact on distance learners' online learning. 2. Under the constructivist learning
theory, combined with the characteristics of online learners and online courses, the following
strategies are proposed from the perspectives of learners, teachers' literacy, and curriculum
interaction: 1) Change learners' concept of online learning and improve core competitiveness,
2) Cultivate professional learning interest and correct learning attitude, 3) Strengthen
purposeful education and improve learning drive, 4) Make daily study plans and maintain good
study habits, 5) Mental health of learners, 6) Constantly promote and carry out teaching reform
and change the teaching concept of teachers, 7) Improve teachers' informatization ability and
encourage them to learn instruction technology, 8) Improve enthusiasm and initiative.
