dc.description.abstractThe objectives of this research were: 1) To study the history and background of the Buffalo Racing Festival (Wua Lan) and the Kamalor painting technique; 2) To create a Thai traditional painting based on the Wua Lan festival using the Kamalor technique; and 3) To design and produce a Canva-based instructional media for teaching visual arts on the topic Surface Preparation for Kamalor Painting Technique for upper secondary and vocational students.The findings revealed that: The research process consisted of 4 stages: 1) Studying, researching, and collecting information. 2) Creating the art thesis work and developing the instructional media. 3) Analysis and Summary of the Research Results. 4) Presenting the art thesis works and instructional media for use in teaching upper secondary and vocational students. The results of the study revealed that: 1) The study of the Wua Lan festival contributed to the preservation and promotion of local cultural heritage and could be applied in the development of instructional media for secondary and vocational education. 2) The art thesis titled Wua Lan consisted of two Thai traditional paintings created with the Kamalor technique on plywood: 2.1) The Buffalo Racing of Phetchaburi 1 (55 × 95 cm). 2.2) The Buffalo Racing of Phetchaburi 2 (60 × 100 cm) Both artworks depict the lively atmosphere and the preservation of the Wua Lan tradition of Phetchaburi Province. The compositions were created based on visual art principles and executed using the Kamalor technique with acrylic paint instead of traditional powder color. 3) The instructional media on the topic Wua Lan Tradition with Kamalor Technique was designed to support art education and to be used as supplementary teaching material in the lesson Mixed Media Painting for upper secondary and vocational students.en_US
