EVALUATION OF THE GOVERNMENT FISCAL MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (GFMIS) OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

Abstract

The objectives were to evaluate the effectiveness of the Government Fiscal Management Information System (GFMIS) of the Department of Corrections; and to explain the relationship between electronic service quality and effectiveness of GFMIS. This research employed a quantitative methodology. The questionnaire collected data from the 116 clients of GFMIS in the Finance Management Division, Department of Corrections. The statistics consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson's correlation. Results revealed that; the effectiveness of the Government Fiscal Management Information System (GFMIS) of the Department of Corrections in all three aspects consisted of high-level system quality, data quality, and service quality in an overview; Electronic service quality correlated with GFMIS effectiveness at a high level with statistical significance at the level of .01
