MANAGEMENT OF HIGHT ACHIEVER IN ORDER FOR THEM TO POSSESS INCLUSIVE HAPPINESS IN WORK LIFE : A CASE STUDY OF HIGH ACHIEVERS IN THAI CIVIL SERVICE
Abstract
The objectives of this study were to study high achievers in Thai Bureaucracy;
study Possess Inclusive Happiness in Work Life of government achievers in High
Performance and Talent System; study the relationship between high achievers and
gross happiness of high achievers; and to identify the talent management model based
on gross happiness. The total number of the population of the study was 350 from (1)
Public Service Executive Development Program (PSED). (2) High Performance and
Potential System (HIPPS). (3) New Wave Leadership Development (NEW WAVES). The
instruments used were (1) questionnaire (2) in-depth interview (3) focus group
discussion. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard
deviation, Canonical Correlation and Path Analysis based on hypothesis. Qualitative
research included in-depth interviews was 30 (from Academic Service Officer, Manager
program and High Achievers), official documents and observation used to support the
finding of the study.
It was found from the study that It was found that encouraging high achievers to
realize their competence and contribution to the organization was the management
concept to improve gross happiness in work life for high achievers; The gross happiness
in work life of high achievers was in moderate level; The relationship between high
achievers and gross happiness in work life as follows. It was found that talent
management had a low relationship with health. It was found that talent management
had a low relationship with mentality. It was found that talent management had a low
relationship with economics. It was found that talent management had a low
relationship with society It was found that talent management had a moderate
relationship with gross happiness; and To manage high achievers for improved gross
happiness the organization should focus on encouraging high achievers to realize their
competence and contribution to the organization. Factors such as health, mentality and
society were integral parts in the promotion of gross happiness in work life of Thai
government achievers.
