The Development of the Durian Fruit Traceability Information System

Abstract

Nowadays, durian fruit is an agricultural product with a high price and is preferred by both domestic and international markets. Which causes problems non-quality durian such as nonmatured durian, accelerative durian with drug are sold to consumers. And also there is a currently needs organic products for health. Consists of such issues and needs, therefore, has developed a information system that can trace back the production process of durian fruit in order to guarantee the durian quality of the farmers and need to develop a information system prototype for agricultural Thailand products quality assurance. The researcher has developed the information system with an agile process and used n-tier client/server architecture. This system was developed using a set of tools Microsoft Visual Studio 2017, Telerik Framework and Microsoft SQL Server 2017 database management system. From the system installation and the field trial actual use of the work , there was a satisfactory evaluation of the usage level. By which the developed system manipulation covers the following about farmer registration, durian garden information record, durian tree record, durian model record, varied time-period weather record, internal garden process management from flowering until fruiting and also management of agricultural certificates and various reports.
