Increasing Efficiency of Building Energy Utilization A Case Study of Fuji Electric Manufacting (Thailand) Co.,Ltd.
Abstract
This study aims to optimize the use of energy in the building of Fuji Electric Manufacturing (Thailand) Co.,
Ltd. Building 2014 – 2016, the company had paid high costs of energy bills that contributes the study for
reducing electricity consumption by setting up a project to conserve electricity and to find ways for managing
high volumes of electricity. A guideline for reducing electricity consumption was developed by considering 3
systems: Electrical equipment in the office, Lighting System and Air Conditioning System. The study was carried
out by setting up energy committee, implementing a change in electrical equipment, and campaigning for
employees to participate in the reduction of electricity consumption. According to the policy of the Ministry of
Industry and the Energy Conservation Act 1992. According to the study, if can be observed that the amount of
electricity consumed could be reduced. Although there were some additional costs for replacing the equipment,
it would be worth for investment and can actually reduce electricity consumption according to the map.
Moreover the amount of electricity used within the company in 2017 was reduced by up to 12.5%. Which was
higher than expectation of 10%.
