Increasing Efficiency of Production Process Using Lean Technique a Case Study of Concrete Block Production Process

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to learn and adjust manufacturing efficiency by using Lean manufacturing for increase more efficiency and using it to manufacture for more products. From the brick production process, found that there’ s a problem during the production process which made the pour concrete process into the molds then used concrete vibrator and transferred molds by casting works slowly. So it can’ t increase more products at this process. Therefore, Lean manufacturing was adjusted for increase more efficiency in the production process and get the result as it should be. The results from modified the production process can sum up that it can manufacture more products from 97.77% to 132.57%. It can describe that increase from the old result 34.8% and can manufacture bricks from 4,400 pieces to 5,966 pieces. So it increases from the old result 1,566 pieces.
