The Buddha Image Dedicated to The King in the early Rattanakosin period and Buddhist Monarch

Abstract

There are some Buddha statues that special than others It’s image and the decorated like a dress of king It has been popular since Ayutthaya period, until the early Rattanakosin era and it’s called decorated Buddha. More over, there are still some decorated Buddha statue that special than other decorated Buddha and there were created by royal family, has faith in the creation for a particular purpose. It is built for the royal devotion to the past royal monarchs or royal family. This Buddha has a unique name called " Buddha image" with the king as the creator of the Buddha statue so it’s will be enshrined in the royal palace or Royal temples. The reason for the creation of the Buddha statue is a motto to create a belief in Buddhism or the belief that "the king is the Buddha." The motto is based on the god of the king in Khmer culture.
