Abstract

Knowledge and Understanding in the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy of Elder in Sam Phraya, Cha- Am, Phetchaburi. It was the qualitative research. By the way, the interview was in-depth interview, single interview and observation. The purpose of research was 1) study about lifestyle of elder foe follow Sufficiency Economy in Sam Phraya, Cha-Am, Phetchaburi. 2) study about Knowledge and Understanding in the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy of Elder in Sam Phraya, Cha-Am, Phetchaburi. 3) study about the way for applied in Sufficiency Economy from elder. The main informant groups that used in this research were Elderly villagers and Elderly farmers amount 17 persons. Methods that was used is a field survey by asking and observation. Selection the main informant groups was chosen by considering that who are relate with this research and studied other information from books, document, concept and researches that related with the Sufficiency Economy. The result found the elder in Sam Phraya, Cha-Am, Phetchaburi. had lifestyle and occupation follow Sufficiency Economy. By Elderly villagers studied from Huai Sai Royal Development Study Center for occupation such as Monoculture and Integrated Farming System. The way of life foe follow Sufficiency Economy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej such as Animal husbandry, agriculture etc. the Sufficiency Economy is concept for elder in Sam Phraya cha-am phetchaburi. They know very well and ready to do for good life without debt and enough about food and facilities. So the elder in Samphraya Cha-Am Phetchaburi had Knowledge and Understanding in the Sufficiency Economy.
