The Problem and process of learning to use the smartphone technology of the elderly people in surrounding area Phra Pinklao, Bangkok Noi district in Bangkok

Abstract

This research aims to study about the problem state and the process of learning to use the smartphone technology of the elderly for identifies current issues and current events. This research is the qualitative research in phenomena science model. The Information had collected by in-depth interviews about “Using the smartphone technology by elderly”, participate observation and study of documents and related research. Key Informant is an elderly people in the area around Phra Pinklao, Bangkok Noi District in Bangkok in the number of the elderly are 7 people. Results from the research found that elderly people who turn to use smart phone technology. They need to find a way to comfortably use the daily life and meet various requirements such as communications, the recognition or search for information or other interests. In the part of the problem about the elderly using and understanding in smartphones, due to the complexity of the system with modern technology. This is a major obstacle to the use of smartphones of the elderly.
