Motivation for health care of the elder, who uses Fitness : A Case Study of Sports Center Honor, Culture, Sports and Tourism Bangkok
Abstract
This research study aimed to motivation for motivation for health care of the elder and problem or
threat, who used Fitness a case Study of Sports Center Honor, Culture, Sports and Tourism Bangkok by used the
Qualitative Research. This research used in-depth interview unstructured interview unstructured interview and
focus group form interviewed key informant are elder, who used Fitness 20 people namely man elder 17 people
and women elder 3 people because of Thomas T. Macmillan found that finding the optimal master data of 17 or
more would reduce the error rate to 0. 2 and triangulation theory to be the main tools. The data was analysis by
used transcription, then individual motivation to conclude induction.
The result revealed motivation for health care of the elder, who used Fitness can classified into 3 field
namely 1) intrinsic motivation that caused by the elders so they wanted to be healthy and they believed
exercised do not rely on medicines and exercised for a long time. 2) extrinsic motivation external stimulants that
made the elders wanted to exercise for a compliment or meet the demand for a short time. 3) social motivation
elders wanted to be accepted by friend and standpoint in social so they would not focus on heavy exercise, but
they would only join as a social association.
In addition to motivation for health care of the elder the, there were problems and threat in the use of
services, most of which were facilities that were not available at the Sports Center, focus on outdoor lighting,
fitness and to add a place to certify the user access to fitness of the sports center.
