The purposes of this research was to study of factor and capabilities resilience for non-formal and
informal education center students by using behavioral event interview technique to collect qualitative data with
non-formal and informal education center 10 already graduated student group and collect quantitative data with
non-formal and informal education Bangkok center in basic education core curriculum year 2008 with the
quantity of 321 students by multi-stage random sampling. The research instrument was resilience non- formal
and informal education center student test of 4-rating-scale, which comprised 41 items. Assessment of research
tools by searching discriminant, reliability and differential item function. The data was analyzed by using
exploratory factor analysis to construct validity with SPSS windows. The results of the research showed that: 1)
The resilience tests for non-formal and informal education center students had a discrimination from 0.226–0.694
and a cronbach’s alpha reliability of 0.941. 2) The results of resilience exploratory factor analysis found that six
factors and thirty eight indicators consisted of the following 1. optimism had ten indicators; 2. life and future
commitment had twelve indicators; 3. Relationships had six indicators; 4. Emotional control had three indicators;
5. encouragement had four indicators and 6. self confidence had three indicators. 3) The differential item
function analysis of the resilience tests found that there were thirteen different types of responses.
