dc.description.abstractThis research. 1) To study the potential of the tourism industry in the West. 2) To study the potential of MICE in the ASEAN Community. The sample used in this study was divided into groups related to the potential of the tourism industry in the western region. To develop as MICE City in the ASEAN community, namely Hotel Entrepreneurs and tourism operators. For this method of data collection. The researcher selected a total of 400 samples of purposive random sampling, comprising 200 hotel operators and 200 tourism operators, stratified by random sampling. Data collection tools were 5-level and openended scale questionnaires. The mean value was 0.93. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. T-test and Variance One-way analysis of Variances The research found that 1) The results of comparing the personal characteristics of the respondents, questioning the potential of the tourism industry in the West to develop MICE in the Asian community, Different occupations have the potential of the western tourism service industry to develop into MICE in different ASEAN communities. Statistically significant at the .05 level, 2) Service Industry Potential in Western Tourism to Develop MICE City in the Asian Community Overall, the level is very good. The highest average for seminars followed by conferences was tourism.
