Work Satisfaction of Supporting Staff inRajamangala University of Technology Lanna
Abstract
This research aims to study work satisfaction of supporting staff in Rajamangala University of
Technology Lanna and to determine the factors with satisfaction by personal characteristics. Data
were collected from a sample group of 400 staff working in Rajamangala University of Technology
Lanna.
Results of the study show that most respondents are female with Bachelor’s degree
education and 1-5 years of work experience. Overall, supporting staff showed medium satisfaction
in work. Considered by aspects, it was found that the sample group showed work satisfactory in
responsibility aspect in high level. On the contrary, supporting staff showed work satisfaction in
salary and welfare aspects in medium level. Concerning a relationship between respondents’ status
and work satisfaction, it was found that the factor of age was significantly related to low level of
work satisfaction in salary and welfare aspects. On the other hand, sex, educational level and work
duration did not show relationship with work satisfaction of supporting staff.
