The Relationship between Job Stress, Quality of Work Life, Job Meaningfulness and Job Burnout of Academic staffs: A Case Study of autonomous University in Bangkok
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study correlation level of Job Stress, Quality of Work Life, Job
Meaningfulness and Job Burnout of Academic staffs: A Case Study of Autonomous University in Bangkok. The
results of this study are as follows: Job Stress have positive correlation with Job Burnout in Overall (r=.169,
p<.01), When considering in each dimensions founded that Job Stress has positive correlation with Job Burnout
in term of Emotional Exhaustion (r=.248, p<.01),but not has correlation with Job Burnout in term of
Depersonalization and Reduced Personal Accomplishment. Quality of Work Life not correlation with Job Burnout
in Overall and each dimensions, Job Meaningfulness has correlation with Job Burnout in Overall (r=-.248, p<.01)
with Statistical significance, when considering in each dimensions founded that Job Meaningfulness has
correlation with Job Burnout in term of Emotional Exhaustion (r=-.156, p<.05), Depersonalization
(r=-.251, p<.01) and Reduced Personal Accomplishment. (r=-.332, p<.01) with Statistical significance. The results
of the predictive equation from the study founded that Job Stress, Quality of Work Life and Job Meaningfulness
can predict Job Burnout at 10.9 percentage of coefficient of determination.
