dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research was (1) to develop the workpiece which made from Palmyra palm product in Sathingphra district of Songkhla (2) to develop the pattern of Palmyra palm product by the community involvement prototype development. The instruments used were in-depth interview, recording, and photographing. The data were analyzed by making a comparison between case study and the original product of community. The study was a survey and qualitative research. Data were collected via participant observation, in-depth interview and, co-operation with the community. It was found that the villagers made the products from Palmyra palm for decorate building has low volume and using original format. Therefore, a researcher has an idea to improve a prototype of products, the ability to add value to product, providing body of knowledge to the community as a model and to increase product demand. consequently, the prototype developed under the produce design principles for interior building design, it was 3 pattern: 1) headboard. 2) nightstand 3) lampsen_US
