DEVELOPMENTAL STRATEGIES FOR COMMUNITY ENTERPRISES WITH THE SUFFCIENCY ECONOMY PHILOSOPHY : A CASE OF HUAI SAT YAI SUBDISTRICT HUAHIN DISTRICT PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN PROVINCE
Abstract
The purposes of this study were to ; assess the development of community
enterprises with the sufficiency economy philosophy ; identify the influences of
different personal factors on the development of community enterprises with the
sufficiency economy philosophy ; explain the relationship between knowledge of
sufficiency economy philosophy and developmental strategies for community
enterprises based on the philosophy of sufficiency economy, and ; explain the
relationship between environmental conditions and developmental strategies for
community enterprises based on the philosophy of sufficiency economy.
This study employed a quantitative design. The sample included 109 members
of community enterprises in Huai Sat Yai Subdistrict, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri
Khan Province.Data were collected through questionnaires and statistically analyzed
using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and
Pearson correlation coefficient.
Results revealed that ; the overall development of community enterprises using
the sufficiency economy philosophy was high with a mean score of 3.79 ; different
personal factors showed no influence on the developmental strategies for community
enterprises using the sufficiency economy philosophy ; knowledge of sufficiency
economy philosophy was poorly correlated with the developmental strategies for
community enterprises using the sufficiency economy philosophy at the .01 significance
level, and ; environmental conditions were moderately associated with the
developmental strategies for community enterprises using the sufficiency economy
philosophy at the .01 significance level.
