    Abstract
    The purpose of this research were as follows to study the history and context of the local museum on folk wisdom; To find ways for the management of local museum on folk wisdomn; Case Study: Ban Phantarak Folk Museum; To introduce the guideline formnat for the management of local museum towards sustainability and self-sufficiency amd giving priority to the study of local museum on folk wisdom Case Study: Ban Bhandrarak Folk Museum, Lam Phaya Sub-district, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province. The unit used for analysis is the individual level: comprises of local administrators, those related to the museum, community members and academics, a total of 15 persons. The data collection consists of the following: (1) In-depth interview (2) Participatory observation (3) Study and analysis of documents, then interprets the findings of the findings obtained. The research result revealed that Local museumns can respond to local tourism and learning resources, resulting private organization, communities, homes, temples, schools and local cultural agencies. They are enthusiastic about establishing a collection of museums: The social development of local museums is a place of cultural heritage conservation as a source of life-long learning, It is a source of income distribution to the local; Internal factors that support social development include social capital, strategic managemnent Lifelong Learning Leadership participation Strong community Fxternal factors include sovernment policies or local govennment organizations, includling private sector, cultural tourism, learing society, networks; and The role of the museum in social developrent consists of Role as a source of conservation of artistic heritage, local culture, role as a source of life-long learning and the role of a source of income cistribution to the local.
