Warehouse Design and Production Plan With Systematic Layout Planning
Abstract
Unipip Industry Co., Ltd. is a warehouse for production and storage, which is a work that must be
done with industrial machinery that must be very careful It is the management of the collection, which
means the delivery of goods to the recipient for sales activities. The main goal of the management of the
business in relation to the warehouse is to create a system that is worth the investment Quality control of
storage Picking up, preventing, reducing losses from operations to keep operating costs as low as possible.
And full utilization of the area which the steel is a large product and the warehouse is a large warehouse.
The objective of this study is to design and plan the production inventory of Unipip Industry Company
Limited. The company does not have a layout plan. The researcher collected data related to the warehouse
and studied all activities that occurred within the warehouse After that, the warehouse space was designed
using Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) theory in the design and in the area of activity space within all 5
types of warehouses. The work of each activity to be used as information in deciding on the appropriate
plan.
The results of this study were designed in the warehouse area. By using the principles of Systematic
Layout Planning (SLP) theory to organize the relationship of each activity into 5 forms It was found that the
calculation of the distance in each activity and the duration of activity in the form 3 was appropriate for
the company warehouse. Case study because the shortest distance is 570.50 meters and the minimum
period of activity is 48 minutes, 9 seconds, selected by the company. Therefore accepted by the company.
