The purposes of the plant surveying in the routing of Samae San Island hiking trails, Sattahip
District, Chonburi Province, The Plant Genetic Conservation Project Under The Royal Initiative of H.R.H.
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (RSPG) were 1) to be response to the initiative of The Plant Genetic
Conservation Project Under The Royal Initiative of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (RSPG).
2) to survey hiking trails at the RSPG Project, Samae San Island. 3) to collect a list of plants in the hiking
trails at RSPG Project, Samae San Island. The results of this research showed that the plants found at the
hiking trails were comprised of 42 families and 97 species in the total. The 32 families and 66 species
were discovered at the three kilometers trail. In this trial, one species could not be classified its family.
Other 27 families and 46 species were found at the five kilometers trial. There was also unidentified
species. It further showed that the 38 families and 88 species were found at the eight kilometers trial.
Also, a family was not still unidentified. All of plants found at the hiking trails at the RSPG , Samae San
Island have been stored in the data consisting of plant name, other name, botanical characteristics and
benefit for further researchers, tourists and visitors to Samae San Island can be reviewed by species.
