The Art thesis titled “From Laughter to Silence” was inspired by a family member’s struggle with leukemia, which impacted both their physical and mental health. This situation led to two younger siblings suffering from depression, causing anxiety for the entire family. Everyone came together to provide close care, healing, and mutual support. These experiences served as the inspiration for creating this body of work, to express love, warmth, and heartfelt care for one another. The goal is to encourage the two siblings and the rest of the family to return to a happy atmosphere. The artist chose to use octopus dolls and Joker dolls as symbols representing family members. The artistic composition is created through an imaginative narrative of visiting an amusement park, reflecting childhood memories. The work portrays the care, love, and concern between siblings through the process of intaglio printing, specifically utilizing a 2D etching metal plate technique.en_US
