| dc.description.abstract | This purpose of this research was to find out the costs on planting, harvesting,
preserving of sugarcane and returns of the sugarcane farming business in Kao Liao
district, Nakhon Sawan province.
This research focused on understanding costs of planting, harvesting, preserving
of sugarcane and returns on the sugarcane farming business in Kao Liao district, Nakhon
Sawan province, from January 2012 to December 2015. The tool used in this research
was structured interviews and data gatherings from the staff working at sugarcane farms.
The area of study was 376 Rais. The data collected were, then, analyzed to find out the
cost structure on planting, harvesting, preserving sugarcane and returns on the sugarcane
farming business.
Major research findings were cost on planting was 5,215.70 Baht/rai, including
sugarcane seed 495 Baht/rai, plowing the soil 3,260 Baht/rai, fertilizing 858.25 Baht/rai,
using pesticides 290.45 Baht/rai, and watering 312 Baht/rai; cost on harvesting was
733.02 Baht/rai; cost on post-harvest preserving was 2,595.66 Baht/rai, including the
fertilizing 1,991.49 Baht/rai, using pesticides 290.45 Baht/rai and watering 313.72 Baht/rai;
the returns on sale was 714.78 Baht/rai | en_US |
