Development of Procurement and Plant, Property and Equipment Accounting Systems: a case study of College of Innovation Management, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin

Abstract

The objectives of this research were; to study procurement and plant, property and equipment accounting systems; to study good internal control concept; to study financial report based on accounting standards and regulations of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin and to study the management financial report. Conceptual framework was based on accounting system design theory and Committee of Sponsoring Organization of the Treadway Commission, internal control (COSO IC). Purposive sampling technique was applied to select 12 employees involving in accounting tasks and using financial report at College of Innovation Management. Data was analyzed by content analysis. Research findings revealed that; procurement and plant, property and equipment accounting systems was well suited with College of Innovation Management’s organization structure; internal control was good; financial report was accurate based on accounting standards and regulations of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin and financial report would meet management’s requirements.
