Organization Commitment, Quality of Work life and Job Satisfaction of the Sales Representatives in Samut Prakan province
Abstract
The objectives of this research were to study the level of satisfaction in working
of sales representatives in Samut Prakan province; and to study personal factors and
attachment to the organization, quality of work life and job satisfaction in working of some
sales representatives in Samut Prakan.
Sample data were collected by census method to 141 building-paint sales
representatives in Samut Prakan province to answer self-reported questionnaire. Data
were analyzed by bivariate analysis consisted of t-test and correlation analysis.
Research findings revealed that personal factors including sex, age, marital status,
educational level, working field, job experience, and salary differences in overall job
satisfaction were not significantly different; overall organizational commitment such as
employee engagement, feel at work, job stability and normative commitment correlated
positively and significantly with overall job satisfaction; overall quality of working life such
as working conditions, fair treatment at work, influence on decision-making, challenge of
work, work and life cycle balance, correlated positively and significantly with overall job
satisfaction; and overall job satisfaction such as employee engagement, feel at work, job
stability, normative commitment, correlated positively and significantly with the overall
quality of work life.
