Area Redevelopment in Khlong San District, Bangkok

Abstract

The project is to study how to develop Khlongsan area, which is influenced by the distribution of the city such as Sathorn – Bangrak. This affects the area to have more residencies and businesses. In addition, the development of many projects in the future including Icon Siam, Restoration of the Area along the River, LRT Golden Line, MRT Purple Line all makes the area interesting for research. The existing area of Khlong Tonsai is high congestion and it is difficult to access because of the rise of buildings and the population. Its buildings and landscapes are dilapidated. Obviously, it is different from neighboring areas with development plans. Moreover, the lack of green space in the public area of the district has made it is necessary to study in order to design and develop this area. Design of the land development plan using the trend of changing colors of land from the past to the future has been taken into consideration. The future project also has an effect on the area development which aims to design a connection between the people of all ages with the public area of the district and the commercial area of a leather road and vertical housing for its fullest potency.
