dc.description.abstractAngthong province is the hub of agriculture and industry. It has important economic roles. Basically, economy of Angthong depends upon agriculture, industry, transportation and retail sale. All of the products are highly required by the markets, especially the products from farms. The market in which the merchants come to pick up and distribute to many places such as nearby provinces and Bangkok. The agricultural market is 24 hours open and it is the biggest wholesale in the north central part of Thailand. The products from the Angthong market will be distributed to those mentioned areas. The purpose of the research is to suggest guidelines on development the commercial areas and the area on the right bank of Chaophraya River of Angthong municipality in order to handle the expansion of the town. Moreover, it is supposed to prepare the area compatible with economic growth, social activities, commercial link, and lively environment. To accomplish the Universal Design, researcher would like to propose Ang thong governor to increase walking way for more convenient access, provide recreation area on the river bank, regulate the buildings and commercial billboards in the market area. According to the research, it can be summarized that it will be advantageous for Angthong province if it follows Universal Design which is a concept focusing on both economic role and lively atmosphere of the areaen_US
