Tool for Clean Technology of Construction case study 4R (Reduce Reuse Recycle Recovery)
Abstract
This study was studied by using the principle of Tools for clean technology. That is 4R including reduce, reuse, recycle and recovery. As it is the principle that environmentally friendly, focus on reducing waste from the resource and not adversely affect the quality of the work.
This study aimed to study about the principle and method of 4R and the possibility to apply in construction. This research, which was studied in three areas consist of technical, economic and environmental that beneficial to construction and also to the society. To study about the principle and method of 4R and the possibility to apply in construction used mix approach method by using quantitative research to study, used questionnaire with the sample consisted of entrepreneur and owner in the construction business and used qualitative research by in-depth interview. For analysis, this study used descriptive statistics. Feature of information, including frequency, mean, percentage and standard deviation and the study is analyzed by statistic program.
The results of this research revealed that the sample who answered questions both entrepreneur and owner in the construction business had level opinion about Tools for clean technology by 4R tools (reduce, reuse, recycle and recovery), overall of the sample is in level of adoption which the mean is 1.3257. While the mean of level opinion about assessing technical feasibility that given by the sample is 1.3522. For economic feasibility using 4R tools (reduce, reuse, recycle and recovery) is in possible level and the mean is 1.3500. In addition, overall level of opinion on environmental feasibility is in level and the mean is 1.551.
