This research presents the experimental study of the secondary air on collection behaviors of a dust cyclone. The cyclone is 0.4 m (D) in diameter. The height of cyclone were designed to be adjustable for three sizes 1.6m (H/D=4.0) , 1.8m (H/D=4.5) and 2.0m (H/D=5.0) . The Blower speeds were designed to be adjustable for three speeds 800, 1,000 and 1,200 rpm as desired with a set of air nozzles placing circumferentially on the cyclone to produce air-swirl flow inside. The ratio of the secondary air to the inlet air (  ) was set to be 0.0 and 0.2 for each case. The rice husk and saw dust were used in the experiments. The experiment shows the highest efficiency of a dust cyclone is 99% of rice husk and 98% of saw dust when the height of cyclone is 2.0m (H/D=5.0),  = 0.2 at speed of blower is 1,200 rpm.en_US
