A Study of Quality of Life in Work Force of Workers in the Housing-Estate Construction Project in Tab Tai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Hua-Hin District, Prachuab Khiri khan Province
Abstract
This research aimed to study personal information and quality of life level of
workers in the housing-estate construction project in Tab Tai Subdistrict Administrative
Organization, Hua-Hin District, Prachuab Khiri khan Province. The samples were 200
people.
The research instrument used was a questionnaire asking about personal
information and quality of life level in the 8 working aspects: 1) fair paid for work, 2)
work progress and work stability, 3) competency development, 4) social worth and
collaborative working, 5) worker rights, 6) equilibrium between the work and the
individual life, 7) social engagement and 8) good environment and safety. The
statistics of the analysis were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The results of the research were as follows:
1. Most of the workers working in the housing-estate construction project
were male (67.0%) and mostly worked as electricians, carpenters, masons, painters
and metalworkers (64.5%). The monthly income mostly ranged from 9,000 to 12,000
baht(55.5%).
2. The mean of the quality of life level in the work was 2.83. It was at a
moderate level. In terms of each aspects, fair paid for work had the highest mean
(xˉ = 3.00), the second highest mean was work progress and work stability (xˉ = 2.90),
and the lowest mean was good environment and safety (xˉ = 2.68)
