The purposes of this research were to study and find the attitudes and
awareness in ASEAN community of Liberal Arts students in Rajamangala University
of Technology Rattanakosin. The subjects were 222 undergraduate students
majoring Chinese, Japanese , and English for International Communication.
The stratified random sampling method was used with the number of the
subjects.
The research instruments were questionnaires which had a reliability of
0.97. Statistics for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard
deviation, Independent-Sample T Test, One Way ANOVA, and multiple
comparison test with LSD.
The research findings were as follows:
1. Students’ attitudes to ASEAN community were at a high level,
regarding ASEAN Political-Security Community-APSC, ASEAN Economic
Community-AEC and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community. At significance level of
0.05, there is no difference in the attitudes to ASEAN community of students
classified by gender and year of study. However, students from different majors
had significantly different attitudes to ASEAN community at the 0.05 level.
2. Students’ awareness in ASEAN community was at a high level.

community of students classified by gender and year of study. However, students
from different majors had significantly different awareness in ASEAN community
at the 0.05 level.
