dc.description.abstractTeaching in the department of interior architecture. Most of the time, the students are learning in the studio. Is considered a studio has very important on teaching and learning in this department. Which in the present has a problems because of its use and equipment that is not relations with the behavior, user activity, area requirement and the environment. These problems are obstacle to learning and lower performance. The study found that the environment affects to behavior and feelings. So, the environment within the studio it is very important to improve the better performance in teaching. Therefore, this research aims to study the problem in the studio as a obstacle to the study results. The second, study to the needs of students and instructor in the environment, behavior, activities with effect to environment for learning. And finally,to define guidelines for solution and designing or renovation the interior architecture studio. This research is a qualitative research. Preliminary data were recorded by observers and surveys from actual site. And the results were analyzed for trends of the project and improve the tool before use to collected data from 54 students in 1-2 years and 4 instructors. The data obtained were analyzed and a summary of the issues proposed order. To find ways to solve problems and serve as guidelines for the design interior architecture studio, as well as suggestions for the research. Results of the study found. The personal working area is very important. And include the public area. This area must be provide for working and teaching to be convenient, fast, and support working. Include the quality of interior environment. And should be encourage about learning and creation by design environment for the best of teaching and learning performance. Causes of creativity is learning area from instruction media and meeting such as library area, relax area and exhibition area. This area can development knowledge and make the effect to better performance. With design environment from needs of users. It’s can solve of problems, reduce obstacle, inconvenient and waste time. Another that it can use the guidelines for interior design of architecture studio.en_US
