dc.description.abstractThe aims of this study are to study factors affecting decision making of the students at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin enrolled in Entrepreneurship for Starting New Business course and to compare relationship the independent variables affecting decision making of students from other different faculties to become an entrepreneur. Students from 4 faculties and 3 campuses of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin are selected as the samples in this study by mean of purposive sampling. 200 students from 4 faculties-25 of them from each faculty i.e. faculty of Engineering ,faculty of Business Administration from Salaya campus, faculty of Liberal Arts from Bopit Phimok Chakkrawat Campus and faculty of Fine Art from Poh-Chang Academy of Arts. From the study it is founded that the reasons for becoming an entrepreneur of those students are about the independent career, great opportunity to make more money than other careers as well as convenience in doing various types of business, good opportunity to make the better profits and the organizations offering some advices in doing business. Meanwhile, the reasons for not becoming an entrepreneur are about the large amount of capital and high competitions and risks. From an analysis comparison of the factors affecting decision making of the students from other faculties to become an entrepreneur, it is founded that students from faculty of Business Administration have more eager to become an entrepreneur than other faculties. It is also seen that students’ academic majors and the head family job can affect decision making of students to become an entrepreneur. In case of students from the same faculties, it is known that students from Business Administration are more eager to be an entrepreneur at the high level. The head family job can also affect decision making but the other factors do not. In case of students from the other different faculties, it is founded that they get more eager to become an entrepreneur at the low level. Sex, age, academic major and the head family job do not affect decision making of students to become entrepreneur.en_US
