| dc.description.abstract | This research project aims at 1) developing management model of RMUTR’s research on biological diversity 2) reviewing lesson learned from knowledge management of the RMUTR’s procedure of the research on biological diversity and 3) assessing the development management model of RMUTR’s research on biological diversity. The project is mainly conducted through Participatory Action Research method by using samples of heads of project researchers who have got the 2015 scholarships from Office of the Higher Education Commission (biological diversity group). These scholarships consisted of nine projects which can be classified by research group as follows; three projects concerning the development and utilities of biological resources, three projects concerning cultural diversity and local wisdom, two projects concerning biological diversity for the development and preservation of rice, and one project concerning biological diversity in regards to area using integration methods. The research project found that;
1. Three factors which are the condition for the success research network management include 1.1 input factors consisted of the meeting so as to develop research questions or issues which are effective and appropriate, plan and prepare research team both before and after the conduction of research. Heads of project researchers are competent in the research topics which they are conducting. Moreover, the researchers from different field of specialization have cooperated and support one another, using suitable tools and friendly facility 1.2 procedure factors consisted of management of researcher, research projects, and budget 1.3 having clear and practical outcomes, results, and impacts from the research.
2.The main obstacle is the delay in the budget disbursement procedure resulting in the postponement of research projects of every participating university. Therefore, the researcher projects could not be done within the prescribed period.
3.Procedure for the development of RMUTR researchers in the field of biological diversity was implemented through the management method as recommended by biological diversity research project. As a result, there is a progress of researchers from the beginning of the process in which they proposed the research topic, Participatory Action Research method, network building between different sectors and departments of the university, and participation of the community which is the area of research resulting in the exchange and sharing of knowledge in regards to the research method among the researchers within the University and the researcher network not within the University. | en_US |
