Risk Assessment for Landslide Disaster Management in Tambon Krungching, Nakhonsrithammarat

Abstract

Current disaster management in vulnerable areas are more important. In areas where landslide disaster had occurred many agencies have to work together to find solutions by setting up many tools such as rain gauges warning sign or machine But sometimes these things can be a problem or has not timely. Then it made more damage. The researchers believe that a plan to handle before it happens, it will be good. The research to assess the disaster risk areas for landslides by selecting the areas under study is Krungchind, Nakhon Si Thammarat. This area had frequent landslides. The objective of this research is To study and mapping community vulnerability. The results will be used to manage risk through community-based landslide. The instruments used in this study were collected preliminary data related to the landslide disaster in the area with questionnaire. Then query the GIS for landslide hazard maps and mapping the risk. The result is that we have a map of risk questionnaire combined with GIS mapping allows you to tell you that the area where there is much less risk if a disaster should evacuate or take care of a special spot before.
