A life that fades
Abstract
Despite my best efforts, I understand that fate cannot be altered to bring
back the person I loved and lost. However, their loss has motivated me to study the
three characteristics of existence (TILAKKHANA), which have become the foundation
of my work. By using self-reflection and analyzing decay, suffering, and desolation, I
express myself through the art of woodcarving. Through intricate forms such as human
skeletons as a symbol of death and wilted tree trunks, I reflect on the natural
imbalance in all aspects of life.
I am delighted to showcase this art collection with the aim of encouraging
reflection on the emotions that come with loss, creating an understanding of life's
inherent asymmetries. For those experiencing loss, my hope is that this collection may
provide comfort and help cultivate resilience when faced with unexpected changes.
