TWO-DIMENSIONAL BARCODE DEVELOPMENT FOR MACHINE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT FACULTY OF ENGINEERING RAJAMANGALA UNIVERSITY
Abstract
The purpose of research studies to design the database system for the equipment management system and to show the condition of the equipment of the Faculty of Engineering. The QR codes that is two-dimensional bar codes is used to access information via the wireless network quickly and easily. From the studying of the traditional database management systems to access data is found that it was originally made on MS Excel and printed out in the form of document: the type of equipment, responsible field of faculty, durable article number, vender name, price per unit equipment, etc. Hence, the equipment required for the document from the authorities is difficult to access information. A system can be improved by using the equipment management system by XAMPP and PHP language. After completing the recording equipment, a QR Code will be shown. The experimentally results show that the time to access the data is decreased about 11.36 minutes. In conclusion, the assessment of the use of the system with the black box testing from the experts and user are found that the level of the performance of the system is good level. The level of satisfaction is a good level, so the integrity of the system that is available.
