Performance Improvement of Queuing Systems using Computer Simulation in Registration Department, Phutthamonthon Hospital
Abstract
This research presents to improve the performance of the queuing system by using computer simulation techniques in Phutthamonthon hospital, Nakorn Prathom province. The hospital is open daily, the service confronts a problem a large number of patients in the waiting queue such as Department of Disease Screening, Department of General Practitioner, Pharmaceutical Department and Finance Department. Conducting research to collect behavioral data at the arrival time of patients and service time. Then the data was analyzed to using engineering statistical analysis to build the computer simulation model of the system and study the utilization of performance. The researchers propose two model approaches can improve concluded that the best alternative is to increase channel General Practitioner to reduce the average service time to 17.36%
