dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research was to study the opinions of the job supervisors in enterprises about competencies of accounting students in cooperative education. The competencies were the students’ 1) academic knowledge 2) job skills, and 3) desired attributes of accounting apprentice. The samples for the research were 125 job supervisors in enterprises in Bangkok. From the research, most of the job supervisors in the enterprises viewed that all of the above three competencies of accounting apprentice were essential to their jobs. The most important competencies of accounting apprentice for the accounting jobs were job skills ( = 4.06), desired attributes of accounting apprentice ( = 3.92), and academic knowledge ( = 3.82) respectively. The most important competencies in job skills were problem solving ( = 4.78), job knowledge and understanding indicating in professional framework ( = 4.77), team work ( = 4.71), other knowledge pertaining to accounting jobs ( = 4.70), honesty ( = 4.64), job ethics ( = 4.62), and job presentation ( = 4.54) respectively.en_US
