Attitude and Comprehension in English Printing Media Reading toward the Students of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin
Abstract
The objectives of this study were 1) to study of the 3rd year engineering students attitude toward English printing media reading, and 2) to study self reported comprehension toward English printing media reading. The samples were 35 third year engineering students who attended in English for Career class in the summer course in 2013 academic year.
The research instrument was a questionnaire which measured English attitude by 20 questions; each question has 5 responses and measured self reported comprehension in English printing media reading by 33 questions. The finding was shown in percentage and describe.
The research findings were 1) the means of attitude of English was 4.85 which means the students have good attitude towards English and, 2) the means of elf reported comprehension in English printing media reading was 4.51 which means the students have good attitude towards comprehension in English printing media reading.
