This research is aim to developed the portable continuous passive motion (CPM) machine that suitable for community in Thailand. The design concept focused on the long bone of leg (knee to foot) of Thai people. The length of CPM machine can adjustable from 39 – 45 centimeter and range of motion from 0 – 110 degree. The design concept will be used to simulation by the aid program before made the prototype. The algorithm for speed control of CPM machine composed of manual and automation. The testing of this research found that the control programs both automatic and manual mode can be control the CPM machine with the constant speed. Anyway, the load from weight of leg was drop the speed of motion and the time spend for leg contraction was slower extension. The range of motion and program timing can be well control.en_US
