dc.description.abstractThe purposes of this research were to study information exposure to health; self - healthcare behavior; and state welfare needs of the elderly in Bangkok. The sample group of 400 elderly people were selected by multi-stage random sampling method. The instrument used for collecting data was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using the percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and the analysis of variance. The research findings were as follows: 1. The exposure level of sample group’s information on health was overall at a moderate level. 2. The overall self-healthcare behavior of the sample group was at the highest level. 3. The level of sample group’s state welfare needs overall was at the highest level. 4. Different genders did not have differences in information exposure to health overall. Sample group by age and education level revealed the different information exposure to health overall significantly at statistic level of 0.05. 5. Different genders and education level had an effect on self-healthcare behavior overall. Sample group by age did not have an effect on self-healthcare behavior overall significantly at statistic level of 0.05.en_US
