| dc.description.abstract | The study was aimed to analyze 3 aspects; dimension, mass, and composition, that contribute good creation of high relief sculptures. The analysis of three genres of high relief sculptures showed as follows:
First of call, the group high relief sculptures, the two figures will have two levels of distance: low and middle, while high distance in not common for this type of art. The front distance will have shape about 60%, dimension, mass, and quantity popping out from the background about 80-95%. In some positions, there are outstanding pieces. The middle distance sections are mostly the supporting part of the content. They are subordinate and less important, covering about 20-30% of the area and some portions are mid-relief. The other 10% belong to empty area.
Secondly, the couple high relief sculptures have the main figures in 2 shapes. The high relief covers about 60-90% of the piece. There are also outstanding parts. The upper parts are usually about Indre on his three-headed elephant Erawan. This section is emphasized and usually bigger than normal people in the figure. Many parts are way off the background for visual distance.
Thirdly, the single high relief sculptures are mostly of a single shape with the dimension and mass popping out from the background about 75-95%. Some portion is way off the background. There are a few portion of mid-relief.
The analysis results of these three genres agreed with the questionnaire survey from experts showing the mass and dimension popping out from the area 60, 70, 80, and 90% respectively. | en_US |
